Taking Responsibility!

This week we began our Taking Responsibility Unit! We will be reading many difficult texts (like Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, works by Eleanor Roosevelt, a book each student choose on their own from a selection of books about responsibility.) With this unit, comes many complex topics that may be controversial as well. In class, we have discussed how to respectfully engage in conversations about race, social class, gender, and other identities; however, if your student shares something with you you would like more information on, please feel free to talk to me before or after school (in room 320) or via email (reynolds.parker7@gmail.com).
